Going green can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. And when we think about going green we often think about the environment, our cars, or how badly we really need to start recycling. But going green in your beauty cabinet is just as important. It’s hard to believe that the products that make us look so gorgeous and feel so good could be harming our health.
Your skin is an organ, and what you put on it, it absorbs! And then even when you take your makeup off, all of those toxins, those parabens, and those chemicals from your makeup go right down the drain, into our environment.
So if you’d like to make a change to go green in your makeup bag, or even if you’d like a little more convincing, these are my favorite blogs to help you get started!
This is one of my favorite blogs for green beauty because not only is it gorgeous to look at, but it’s filled with awesome discussions about going green on everything from makeup to clothes to eco bean bags!! I love their discussions on new green beauty products and interviews with other green beauty bloggers as well as green beauty brands.
Here are a few of my favorite posts:

This is a chic green beauty blog by besties Sabrina and Mayah. Call It Vanity offers reviews of tons of green beauty products and also consultations known as their Beauty Swap Shop! Edible Facial is a glorious clean beauty and living blog by licensed social worker and holistic mom, Sarita Cohen. She is also an ambassador for A Night for Green Beauty, Beauty Heroes, and Indie Beauty Expo. I love her blog because it is such an awesome resource if you are looking for green beauty products to buy, where to buy them, or how to use them and why.
*UPDATE: Sarita has now moved to a brand new website called Sarita Cohen I The Hub of Clean Living. It has all the same goodies as Edible Facial, but upgraded! The blog provides you with great information on how to enrich your life, clean up your beauty cabinet, and more! Check it out!

Organic Beauty Blogger is another great green beauty product review site. The blog was created over 3 years ago by Inga. You gotta love that.

Hi Brittany! Thanks for the roundup, there’s a couple names on here that are new to me 🙂 You might want to check out http://livesimply.me. She also covers clean eating and homemade cleaning products but she has a big archive of homemade beauty solutions, really awesome stuff. SaltandRitual.com is one I came across today and she has some really nice posts on natural beauty as well.
